Safranīn, Anilinrosa, Pink, künstlicher Farbstoff, zuerst durch Oxydation von Mauveïn (s.d.) gewonnen, jetzt durch Oxydation von Paratoluylendiamin mit Orthotoluidin und Kondensation der Zwischenprodukte mit Anilin hergestellt, rotbraunes Pulver, färbt tannierte Baumwolle rot, dient im Kattundruck zum Nuancieren von Alizarinrot.
